Security Engineer_IBM Cloud IaaS

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- 3 to 7 years of relevant industry experience.
- 2+ years of information security engineering experience
- 3+ years of general systems engineering experience
- Should have experience in Linux and Windows administration
- Have a combination of system administration skills, scripting/programming experience, and knowledgeable in security topics.
- Have experience with at least one programming language: Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, PHP, etc. and have written BASH scripts
- High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience:
- Experience with the following tools: Nessus/Security Center, QRadar, Resilient, Demisto, Carbon Black Protect
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins/Ansible/Terraform
- Has implemented or maintained an Infrastructure as Code environment
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with PCI, NIST 800-53, SOC 2
What you’ll do:
- As the Security Engineer, You’ll
- Administrate and monitor systems used to support the strategic, comprehensive corporate information security monitoring and operation program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled or processed by the organization
- Develop tooling and security controls to mitigate risks
- Perform daily security activities related to the protection of corporate assets
- Ensure that the IBM cloud is aligned with all applicable corporate directives and policies regarding securing and monitoring of information
- Perform risk assessment, including reporting and oversight of remediation efforts to address findings of outside assessors
- Conduct research and project planning for implementation of new systems and tools to be used by the SOC
- Provide information and research for proposed initiatives to the SOC Manager and Security Director as requested
- Perform all required implementation, maintenance and configuration changes and associated documentation for all security tools and systems
- Collaborate with system administrators to garner information needed for security initiatives.
