Riverbed Technology jobs - Security Software Developer

Role and Responsibilities:

• You will be working on a mix of new development, customer issues and automation.
• As an engineer on the development team you will research various technologies and solutions as you design new features for our existing products.
• You will have an opportunity to work with the other engineering teams across Riverbed to ensure our solutions all work together.
• You should thrive on solving customer issues, working closely with customer support engineers to resolve existing issues as well as identifying product improvements for our wide variety of customers.
• Demonstrate technical expertise and promote teamwork
• Deliver software with benchmarked quality and customer satisfaction, thereby enabling faster customer adoption.
• Use expertise and creativity for innovative product development and solutions. 
• Document and track your work and participate in code and design reviews.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• BE./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from reputed institute/college/university
• 5+ years of relevant programming experience
• Strong C/C++ programming experience with excellent debugging skills
• Experience in Scripting and/or programming using one of the following: Python, Perl
• Development experience in one or more areas - System Programming, Linux internals, SSL/TLS, security protocols, Cryptography
• Good working knowledge in virtualization and cloud technologies
• Familiarity with networking - TCP/IP, routing/switching and Wireshark
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle stress and work under pressure.
• 5-9 years of experience in a similar role

Highly desirable skills:

• Understanding of WAN technologies, bandwidth, latency and how they affect application performance.
• Exposure to some/all of the following standards like NIST/MITRE/NSA including CVE and certifications like Common Criteria, FIPS
• Experience in Networking, AAA with remote authentication protocols such as RADIUS, TACACS+, and LDAP
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies
• Solid attention to detail
• Can work on your own but know when to ask for help
