General Description

This position is for Offshore team member of DI Practice of Datavail, which champions advanced Database Development, Tuning and Automation projects for various MNCs ranging from US SMEs to Fortune 500 companies. This position demands an excellent technical skillset with MS BI ( Business Intelligence) Suite and related third party tools. The typical work involves Designing, troubleshooting and maintaining Database objects, SSIS packages, PowerBI, SSAS Cubes and advanced T-SQL coding and tuning.

Education/Experience

BE/B.Tech or equivalent educational background is preferred.

Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

Essential Skills

Expertise in MS SQL RDBMS like SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 or onwards

Expertise in MS BI Suite , SSIS (SQL server integration services),PowerBI

Nice to have: experience in Informatica

Hands-on experience with

Ssis

• Designing, troubleshooting and Maintaining SSIS Packages with varied complexity
• Managing security, deployment, scheduling and post-production support.
• Additional ETL tools experience earns bonus points.
  

PowerBI

• Managing security, deployment, subscriptions and post-production support.
• Additional reporting tools, PowerPivot and other self-service BI experience earns bonus points.
  

SSAS

• Troubleshooting and Maintaining SSAS Cubes.
• Comfortable with various DB modelling approaches (dimensional, Tabular, Inmon, Kimball etc.)
• Managing security, deployment, processing options and post-production support.
• Additional OLAP tools experience earns bonus points.
  

TSQL

• Designing, troubleshooting, Tuning and Maintaining TSQL code.
• Designing various solutions using MS SQL server native capabilities.
• Designing, troubleshooting, Tuning and Maintaining SQL agent jobs
• Managing security, deployment, scheduling and post-production support.
• Good understanding of database design and constraints.
• Able to analyse Execution plan of the queries
• Additional RDBMS product experience earns bonus points.
  

Application Tuning Automation

• Comfortable with designing and maintaining solutions using FTP, Batch files, Powershell, other scripting languages.
• Experience with NOSQL earns bonus points.
  

Soft Skills

• Good written communication
• Good exposure to PDLC across all stages of project development.
