Senior Civil Engineer recruitment in Chennai - dow chemical international pvt. ltd.

Civil:

This role provides a technical resource to lead a team of civil Engineers & Designers for projects and/or to provide expertise in specialised design,Analysis  tools or concepts.  

To actively engage as  a Lead Design Engineer for intermediate and large site improvement projects, or portions of the design within significantly large capital projects. 

Core responsibilities include:

• Ensures well defined Scope development during Project Definition Phase
• Provides overall responsibility for Codal compliance and Design safety.
• Ensures that environmental regulations and Safety and Loss Prevention Principles are considered in design
• Applies Global Project Methodology (Global Project Methodology) and Civil Discipline Engineering Work Process Discipline as appropriate to derive value to the project.
• Drives project execution within Civil discipline, Ensuring safety in design, meeting DOW LPP’s and other EH&S requirements.
• Drives variances to DOW standards & MET ,in order to derive value to the project.
• Accountable for three dimensional (SP3d) Model compliance with design ,detailing and Structural Steel connection approval    
• Support Civil Construction activities with clarification and/or technical support
• Provides input to project schedule and plans, then monitors progress against the plans
• Ensure discipline design deliverables for the discipline meet the project commitments on time and within budget
• Identifies technical problems and appropriately resolves with right decisions .

 Required Qualifications:

● A minimum of 10-15 years of Civil engineering  experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Industrial Plants

● Excellent communication skills, organizational and work coordination skills, and interpersonal skills are also critical to role success

● Agile in Change management. 

● Has experience leading project teams in planning & delivering as per project estimates and schedules

 Preferred Qualifications:

● Conversant in International Civil Engineering codes & Practices.

● Construction/3dmodel review experience

● Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader or Black Belt Certification

●Has experience leading project teams in Diverse cultural environments
