Who you are:

As a Software Architect, you are responsible to drive the development of IBM Cloud Brokerage that powers Hybrid Cloud solutions for enterprises. You will partner with the global team of engineers and other functions such as Product Management and Delivery to design and develop advanced capabilities applying state of the art and cutting-edge technologies.

You will work in a Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules. Your success will be characterized by the quality of your contributions, the impact you make through technical leadership and innovation and the increased satisfaction you deliver to our customers.

• Complete ownership of delivery
• Collaborate with a distributed team of business analysts, architects and developers to transform and develop requirements into design, implementation and solutions.
• Estimate and outline the solution approaches, express and articulate the architecture and design rationale
• Hands on in implementing proposed solutions and be able to technically guide teams during development and deployment of solution

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

• Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience as a lead / Architect in building successful enterprise class software products
• Proven experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required.
• Demonstrated development skills in Python or node.js
• Validated expertise with Open Source development, Microservices, Containers, Kubernetes
• Working ability of consuming, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on experience in developing backend services capitalizing container technologies and container management systems such as Kubernetes
• Full stack development experience with technical architecture and design with proven experience in web applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, stateful & stateless applications with APIs and Enterprise platforms and services development.
• Strong analytical, deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

• Experience in Integration and Data services architecture and techniques: SOAP, REST, JSON
• Proficient in cloud development platforms such as IBM Bluemix, AWS, Google, or Azure
• Working knowledge of IaaS across public and private clouds
• Demonstrated experience working in a true Agile & Scrum environment
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
