National Health Systems Resource Centre jobs - Senior Consultant Capacity Building

Qualifications & Experiences: Eligibility  A post graduate degree in Public Health / Community Health / Community Health Administration / Preventive & Social Medicine / Community Medicine / Health Management or post graduate in Social or Environmental Sciences from a recognized university.  Minimum of 7 years’ post qualification experience in planning and implementation of health or social or environmental sector programme service delivery. Out of which 4 years’ experience should be in National or State level Government Sector, Government Affiliated Sector, UN Organization, Large Non Governmental Organization or equivalent.  Familiarity with the Indian government system, key stakeholders and relevant government policies/strategies particularly of national health and social and environmental sector programmes.  Familiarity with managing documentations (SOPs, Reports, Manuals, Guidelines) and personnel management (Trainings, Handholding in Trouble shooting)  Excellent communication and presentation skills and inter-personal abilities to communicate programme related message to various stakeholders.  Demonstrated ability to coordinate and work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.  Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point & Web surfing to search relevant data & documents.  Broad knowledge and understanding of disease surveillance system or public health practice.  Computer proficiency for Data analysis, interpretation, PPT presentation and depiction of data from various sources  Demonstrated experience in operationalizing health or social sector program at field level/ district level systems  Willingness to travel to states & districts to provide technical assistance & ability to work on different assignments simultaneously to meet the timelines for assignments

Desirable  Experience of working in National or State Health Programmes  Good knowledge and understanding of Public Health System and relevant government health policies/ strategies in various National health Programmes.  Experience of working with Government organization or reputed Non-Government Organization working in the field of Health, or Environment.  Knowledge of statistical models, tools, techniques and technologies which can be applied to integrate health data with other sectors like meteorology, environmental variables etc. and present data and information  Excellent skill in data analysis in public health or environmental science setting 

Remuneration:  Rs. 150,000/- per month (consolidated) on contract basis  Provision for 5% annual increment on extension of contract
