Senior Fashion Designer jobs in Surat at Vanya Designer

Managing design process from conception stage to final styling, including prototyping.

Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques and seekingdesign inspiration.

Presenting story, mood / colour boards, and samples to design head.

Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, andcreate new concepts.

Ensuring product concepts are in sync with overall business strategy.

Creating or Visualizing an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD).

Liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.

Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs.

Sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments for sampling purposes.

Adapting existing designs for mass production
Skills & Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in fashion design.

Only candidates from NIFT & PEARL should apply.

Proficient with Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator, Corel & Microsoft Excel.

Hands on with hand-made design sketches.

Availability to travel for research and product development.

Excellent design and conceptual skills specifically in ethnic women’s wear.

Excellent sense of style and color.

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to meet multiple or strict deadlines
