Roles and Responsibilities

Looking for a Sr. merchant who can handle clients accounts by their own and communicate and solve day to day requirements and challenges. From the product development till shipment dispatch should be taken care by merchant as a project. Merchant is also responsible for shipment delivered to client so they should do random audits in all levels of production and should check quality standard before the final packing of each pcs of their accounts. Highly motivated people who are dedicated to work and looking for stability are welcome.

Product development -

• Develop and service buyer requirements from inquiry till shipment delivery. Must have in depth knowledge of leather, leather products, treatments, product development and all kind of accessories.
• Coordinating with the design team in the preparation of season specific ranges and developing products per buyer requirements.
• Handling new developments, based on theme, inspiration, designs, mood boards and trims sourcing.
• Submitting multiple options against buyer requirement.
• Deep knowledge of leather and understanding of
• Getting samples developed as per buyer requirement. (proto samples from photo).
• Arranging for machine productivity, markers, leather and trims prices, and getting the costing ready for each sample.

Production-

• Handling order sheets with comments and final samples to respective departments and generating and giving purchase requirements within 48 hours of order received.
• Closing TNA plan as per delivery
• Getting approval for all the leather (FOBs and Lots),branding trim layouts and accessories trims.
• Handling testings (FPTs and GPTs).
• Good accuracy in preparing lots and clubbing if required.
• Taking production update doing audits with production team for quality control and style check.
• Getting approval for all the bulk Trims, Accessories, leather and lining.
• Handling photo samples/ad samples if required.
• Doing AQL before final packing with QC and production head. Each pcs sent to buyer is merchant responsibility.
• Shipment and samples follow-ups.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education/ Qualification: Bachelor in Fashion Technology/ Diploma in Fashion Technology form from a reputed Institute OR Bachelor in any stream with exceptional depth knowledge of same profile.

• Experience 5-15 years or more of experience in Merchandising with Export Company in Sr. Merchant or team lead post handling Junior merchants.
• Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
• Industry Traits: Ability to understand the costs in leather accessories Industry
• Up to date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
• If not very sound in Excel should have basic working knowledge of excel in order to create costing sheet, BOM and order flow charts.
