Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Network Engineer you will manage network operations of Watson Health Networks across the globe. This position requires advanced configuration and troubleshooting skills in Cisco Networks - switching and routing, firewall, Cisco ACI and load balancers. You will be required to work with the stakeholders to understand the requirements and drive the network projects independently.
As a Senior Network Engineer you will be responsible to:

Implement, configure and provide operational support for these network platforms:
- Cisco Switching: both Nexus and ACI.
- Cisco WAN and routing technologies.
- Checkpoint Firewalls as well as Cisco Firewalls.
- F5 LTM Load Balancers
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

11+ years of expertise in Networking Technologies (predominantly Cisco)
Expert in configuring and managing Checkpoint Firewalls and Nexus Switches (Switching and Routing) - 9K/7K/5K/2K
Profound knowledge in implementation and management of Cisco ACI
Configuration and management of F5 load balancers
Experience in configuration and management of Cisco catalyst switches and Cisco routers (ASR and ISR)
Extensive experience in managing and upgrading Cisco IOS, CAT-OS and NX-OS
VLANs, VPC, Dynamic Routing (OSPF, EIGRP and BGP),HSRP and VRRP
CCNA

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

SD WAN
Any scripting language preferably Python
Experience with ASA Firewalls
CCNP
