Applications are invited to engage 01 (One) Senior Project Assistant, purely on contractual basis under the Institute project [Operation and maintenance of the High Profile Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)] at ICAR — NRC for Banana, Tiruchirapalli — 620 102.

1. Post Name: Senior Project Assistant

2. No of Post: 01

3. Salary: Rs. 18,000.00 (consolidated) per month

4. Qualification: First class in M.Sc. (Biochemistry / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Botany / Microbiology / Molecular Biology) or M. Tech (Biotechnology — integrated) with at least 24 years research experience

5. Desirable: Working knowledge in HPLC analyses Minimum Fresearch publication having NAAS rating more than 5

6. Brief nature of duties:

Profiling of chlorophyll catabolites in relation to stay-green ripening of Cavendish bananas in HPLC Characterization and profiling of anthocyanins from flower bracts of germplasm collection and leaves of ornamental bananas using HPLC Analysis of biochemical compounds from other labs of the Centre using HPLC Estimation of a-tocopherol in banana leafs using HPLC

Age Limit:
Minimum age 21 years and Maximum age 45 years for Senior Project Assistant. Age relaxation shall be applicable for the post as per rules.
