Applications are invited for the temporary or contractual post of Senior Project Engineer under the project “Space Foundry Inc.” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.
For the Position of: “Senior Project Engineer
Minimum Qualification: M.Tech + 3 years experience or Ph.D. (Engineering stream) or For Senior Project Scientist Ph.D. (Science stream) +2 Years experience
Desirable Experience:
Tech/Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics or Chemical Engineering, or any other relevant area
Experience in operating plasma thin film deposition systems
Experience in installing and troubleshooting vacuum pumps, gas flow systems, and electrical circuits
Knowledge about thin film deposition processes and characterization techniques
Experience in characterization of surfaces and interfaces
Prior experience in similar projects would be a plus
Nature of work:
Installation of the new deposition system
Development of thin-film deposition process and its optimization
Extensive documentation and reporting of developed processes and recipes
Publishing research papers and filing patents on innovations
Guide and train junior employees
Salary: Rs. 32400-2700-81000/- per month based on qualification
Duration of appointment: 1 Year Contract or till the end of Project whichever is earlier
