National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) invites application for the position Senior Project Research Fellow/Project Administrative Support-III
Name of the Post: Project Administrative Support-III (Project Assistant)
1. Name of the Project: ‘Bio-ecology of Malaria Vectors in endemic and diverse ecotypes (urban, coastal and riverine) in Tamil Nadu’
Duration: One year, extendable based on performance and project extension
Essential Qualification: Graduate in science from a recognized university with three years relevant work experience from a recognized institution Or Master’s degree in science from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification:
(i) M.Sc. in Life Science/ Biotechnology/Medical Entomology / Public Health Entomology with field experience in vector surveillance and/or laboratory works pertaining to vector biological studies.
(ii) Knowledge of Computer applications/tablet data recording.
(iii) Willingness to work in field in remote areas as well as laboratory.
(iv) Knowledge of English with scientific communication skills in addition to Tamil.
Salary: Rs. 31,000/-
Name of the Post: Senior Project Research Fellow

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Life Science/Biotechnology from a recognized university with 2 years of research experience in Malaria or/other vector borne diseases.
Desirable Qualification:
(i) Adequate experience in field surveys (immature and adult) of mosquito vectors.
(ii) Research experience (Hands -on) in laboratory techniques such as Membrane Feeding Bioassay, CSELISA, Molecular detection of malaria parasites in vector mosquitoes, Counter current immunoelectrophoresis etc.
(iii) Peer reviewed publications in mosquito vectors and malaria.
(iv) Fluency in English and experience in writing scientific manuscripts.
Salary: Rs.35,000 /- Per month + HRA as per rules
Name of the Post: Project Technical Support IV (Research Assistant)
1. Name of the Project: ‘Bio-ecology of Malaria Vectors in endemic and diverse ecotypes (urban, coastal and riverine) in Tamil Nadu’
Duration: One year, extendable based on performance and project extension
Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in Science from a recognized university with 3 years’ work experience in the relevant subjects from a recognized institution Or Master’s degree in Science from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification:
(i) M.Sc. in Life Science/Biotechnology/Medical Entomology/Public Health Entomology with field experience in vector surveillance and/or laboratory works pertaining to vector biological studies.
(ii) Willingness to work in field in Rs.31,000/ 33 years (includi ng age relaxati on) remote areas as well as in laboratory.
(iii) Knowledge of Computer applications/tablet data recording
(iv) Knowledge of English with scientific communication skills in addition to Tamil.
Salary: Rs.31,000/
