Job description

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for a Senior R&D Engineer for our product development team. Your roles and responsibilities includes conceptualizing, designing and developing products in form of device, assembly or system and validate it to formulate all required technical specifications, provide technical guidance and execute cross functional Engineering projects.

In additional your roles and responsibilities will include:

Lead, supervise & mentor team of engineers on product/prototype design & development assignments in the electro-mechanical domain.
Analyze electro mechanical parts and capture construction details & interface schemes deployed
Identify the Novel and unique design aspects related to Performance, Thermal, Reliability, DFX, User Experience and product packaging that contribute to lower costs and higher manufacturing throughput.
Perform functional analysis, capture logical relationships and cost to worth gap analysis
Create a Test set-up to test and evaluate the product, identify the test cases/performance evaluation criteria.
Generate quick PoCs, Simulations for proposed Ideas
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of CB Benchmarking Projects
Do a detailed competitor product benchmark with product
Propose economic alternatives for design and suggest trade-offs.
Recommend product improvements to enable technology leadership
Generate the Learning Opportunities/findings from every CB teardown
Identify good features/engineering observations of the competitor product (wrt use & purpose of the product) covering aspects of design, specifications, HUE, feature/functionality/ performance, supply chain etc that can be considered for products
Contribution to talent identification & developing technical capabilities within the team.
Collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of Projects

Required Candidate profile

As a successful candidate, you must have:

Must be BE/BTech/ME/MTech - Mechanical
3+ Years of professional experience in product design and development
Should have executed NPI & cost down programs
Should have been involved in design reviews/evaluation of products.
Exposure to electro-mechanical product design is desirable.
Good knowledge in assembly and manufacturing process for all commodities
Sholud be experience in using simulation tools
Knowledge of Testing life cycles, testing strategies, testing tools & test system designs (test rigs)
Proven practical experience in the Analysis / Troubleshooting of electrical/electronic products
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Initiative, Problem solving, Persuasive & positive thinking
Should be experience in Product costing
Product design and System Engineering experience
Knowledge of communication interfaces, testing strategies, testing tools & test system designs
Proven practical experience in the Analysis / Troubleshooting of electrical/electronic products
Good presentation skills and strong verbal and written Communication.
Team player with good interpersonal skills
