Essential Qualification: -
M.Sc in Geoinformatics/M.Tech in Remote Sensing with a minimum of three (03) Years of Professional Experience in the Fields of Remote Sensing, GIS, with a minimum of 75% in aggregate in Masters Level.
The Candidate should have to show his professional credentials or certificates in this regard to fulfill the criteria.
Desirable Qualifications:
a) The Candidate should have the ability to handle a team of more than Eight (08) Employees.
b) Knowledge of Web GIS will be an added advantage.
c) The Candidate should be proficient in Communication in English and Hindi.
d) The Candidate should have at least successfully completed two Projects in this regard and should have a proven track record in this regard.
e) The Candidate should have proven efficiency of hands-on expertise in Arc GIS, ERDAS Imagine Software, and AUTO CAD and open source GIS software.
f) The Candidate should have a proven track record of managing the data collected through field surveys and integrating the same in the GIS Environment.
g) The candidate should be able to create, manage, manipulate, query etc of spatial data and linking of spatial data with non-spatial data.
h) The candidate should be able to meet the client and deal with the client regarding the projects.
i) The candidate should be able to provide technical presentations.
j) Working experience with the NLRMP project will be an added advantage.
Monthly Gross Emoluments:
a) 12,000.00 INR
b) EPF and ESI Facilities will be provided aster confirmation of the service
c) The Income is subjected to deduction of P.Tax and TDS.
d) T.A. /D.A. will be provided on time of site visit and Client Meetings.
e) T.A. will include travel in Three-Tier Sleeper.
Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Creation of Database in GIS environment.
b) Performing ortho-rectification, data mosaics, image to image data rectifications, importing data from other environments in GIS.
c) On-time submission of projects and ensuring their requirements.
d) Performing regular QC of data and preparing the necessary reports in this regard.
e) Preparing Action plan for the execution of any project undergoing in the Department
f) Assisting Administration in the procurement of Satellite Data or other stuff necessary for speedy execution of the project.
g) Prepare Technical reports on the projects under supervision.
h) Assisting the Information Technology personal for creation of Web GIS-based Platforms.
i) The incumbent should be adapt enough in handling clients as and when required.
j) The incumbent should be able to conduct field-based ground-truthing as and when required in West Bengal as well as in other states based upon the requirement of the project.
Place of Posting: Development Office, at Prantik, Santiniketan, Birbhum, West Bengal. No Selection shall be done through telephonic interviews. All interviews shall be strictly physical and will have to pass through Written, Practical, and Viva Voce respectively.
