Job Description

Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) invites application for the position Senior Research Fellow

Project entitled: “Development of fibers reinforced alumina and zirconia matrix composites for high temperature applications”

No of Post: 01

Period of Appointment: The appointment will be initially for a period of Eleven months and based on performance, the appointment could be extended yearly basis till the end of the project (3 years). The selected candidates will be eligible for Ph. D registration if they satisfy all the criteria of IIT Hyderabad

Remuneration: INR 35000/- pm + HRA

Essential Qualifications: M.Tech./M.E./ or equivalent degree in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science/ Ceramics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering (with specialization in Composite Materials)/ or related areas.

Desirable: Experience in some of the following areas: powder metallurgy, sintering, microstructural study, metallography practices, heat treatments, mechanical testing. Experience in working with powders, ceramics, composite materials. Experience in handling various material characterization, processing and testing equipment, etc.
