Job Description

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) invites application for the position Senior Research Fellow

No. Of Post: 01 post – application invited

Location : Department of Biochemistry

Salary : INR 40,600 including HRA (as per ICMR norms)

Hours : Full Time

Contract Type : Contract/Temporary (One year - likely to be extended beyond two more years based on the fellow performance or availability of funds)

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Fellow to join the ICMR funded project entitled “Role of micro RNAs in hepatocellular carcinoma”. A keen interest in gene regulation, standard biochemical and molecular biology and cell culture techniques, and animal model research are essential. S/he will have an excellent scientific track record, committed to a scientific career and will be keen to work in an interdisciplinary team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and scientific creativity are essential.

Essential Qualification: PhD in Life Sciences preferably in Biochemistry/Biotechnology. The candidate should have demonstrated aptitude in terms of publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Age Limit: You should have the upper age limit of 32 years as on the last date of application.
