Job Description

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT University) invites application for the position Senior Research Fellow

Title of the Project: “Retargeting lentiviral integration into heterochromatin for safer gene therapy applications”

No of Post: Senior Research Fellow

Qualification: M.Sc. (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology or any related discipline in Life Sciences) with CSIR/NET/GATE qualification and at least two years of relevant experience

Vacancy: One

Desirable (if any): Candidates with previous experience in vector cloning, gene knockdown, transformation, transfection, transduction, flow cytometry, Western blotting, real-time PCR, ChIP assay, and handling of human blood samples would be preferred

Stipend: Rs. 35,000 pm + 8% HRA

Project Duration: 3 Years
