Job Description

Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) invites application for the position Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Project Name: ICAR funded project on “Consortia Research Platform – Biofortification of selected crops for nutritional security (Maize component)” (12-131)

No of Post: 01

Salary: Rs. 31,000 + 24% HRA

Essential Qualification:
i. Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or allied subjects with 4/5 years’ bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 13.07.2015 and F. No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 09.10.2015)
ii. Master degree in relevant subject with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor's Degree. Candidates having Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6127/2014/HRD dated 13th July, 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 6127DA14-HRD 9th October, 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30th january, 2019.

Desirable: Research experience in maize breeding and application of molecular markers

Age Limit: Maximum age is 35 years for SRF/Project Associate-I and for skilled helper (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC). Minimum age should be of 18 years as on date of interview.
