Job Description

1. Name of the Post: Senior Resident Doctors

2. No of Post: 03

3. Salary: Senior Resident will be offered monthly consolidated salary of Rs.1,01,000/- (Rupees One Lakh One Thousand).

4. Discipline and Educational Qualification:

a) Medical Oncology: DM / DNB (Medical Oncology) OR MD/DNB (Medicine) with 2 years Post-Graduate Fellowship Programme in Medical Oncology, OR MD / DNB in General Medicine.

b) Pathology: DM /DNB (Onco-pathology) OR M.D. / D.N.B. (Pathology) with 2 years Post-Graduate Fellowship Programme in Onco-Pathology.

c) Radio-diagnosis: M.D. / DNB OR equivalent postgraduate degree in Radiology / Radio-diagnosis recognized by MCI.

Age Limit:

40 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC & 10 years for Physically Handicapped). Age & experience will be reckoned as on the last date of online application.

Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) was set up by a voluntary organization called 'Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Society Trust'. Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah (4th September 1893 - 25th September 1956) was a great physician, freedom fighter and philanthropist of Assam. In 1958 at a public meeting in Guwahati, a decision was taken to set up a cancer hospital at Guwahati to commemorate the memory of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah.
