Job Title: Sr Associate Content Engineer

Summary

Configures software solutions for P&C core systems processing from Agile stories using the Duck Creek toolset. Reads and interprets rules and requirements from standards organizations like ISO, NCCI, AAIS, etc. Coordinates with user interaction designers and product leadership to create strong user-centered experiences in configured software solutions. Creates a conceptual design/architecture for configuration solutions based on the Duck Creek platform and toolset

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Expected to understand and be able to explain basic implementation concepts while working under general supervision.
• Participates in designing the software configuration to meet the business process design and application requirements.
• Configures content solutions for low complexity Agile stories
• Reads and interprets small or low complexity rules and requirements from standards organizations, converting these into configuration requirements.
• Participates in code reviews, fixes any defects, and performance problems discovered in testing; & participates in transitions of the application components to the testers.
• Debugs and resolves low to moderate complexity configuration bugs or issues and finds the real root cause and provides a fix without collateral damage.
• Under close direction from a more senior content engineer
  
  

Education And Work Experience

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, in area with analytic emphasis
• 2-5 yrs. exp preferably in a technology, insurance, or otherwise related environment
• Industry knowledge
  
  • P&C insurance Industry experience (Must)
  • Knowledge of either Personal, Commercial, Specialty lines (Must – at least one of them)
  • INS21, INS22 and INS23 or equivalent insurance certification (Nice to Have)
    
• Technical skills
  
  • Hands on experience in Application Development using .NET (C#),ASP.NET, SQL Server programming, XML, XSLT (Must)
  • Customer interfacing experience and customer presentations (Nice to Have)
  • Design patterns (Nice to Have)
    
• Communication skills
  
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) (Must)
    
• Other insurance P&C packaged software experience (Must)
  
• Duck Creek skills (Nice to Have)
  
  • Experience as Content Developer / Implementation Specialist on Duck Creek Policy / Billing / Claims
  • Experience/knowledge of Pages, Rating, Forms and Transactional Processing
    
• IT experience
  
  • Experience / knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications (Must)
  • Experience / knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (Must)
  • Knowledge of database - SQL Server (Must)
  • Experience and understanding of XML, XSLT (Must)
  • Experience with Integration and BI Tools (Nice to Have)

Other Requirements

• Travel: 0-10%
• Special Work Hours: After-hours On-Call Support Engineer for emergencies as needed to triage Severity Level 1 incidents
• Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
