Job Description
Shop keeper required for a retail grocery shop located at moulivakkam.
Responsibilities:
Inventory management
Keep track of inventory levels, ensure stock is organized, and rotate stock so that items with the earliest sell-by dates are at the front
Customer service
Greet customers, answer questions, and help customers find products
Sales
Process sales transactions, handle cash and card payments, and maintain accurate records of sales
Store maintenance
Keep the store clean and tidy, including organizing displays and removing clutter
Receiving and shipping
Receive new shipments of products, check them for accuracy and quality, and arrange for incoming shipments
Stock replenishment
Replenish supply inventories following established guidelines of the company
Safety
Ensure hazardous materials are stored safely and adhere to federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation guidelines
Documentation
Ensure proper completion of documentation to place an order and make a purchase
Reporting
Report damaged inventories for record-keeping and reimbursement, and report any abnormal occurrences in your department to management
