Job Description

ICGEB CALL FOR A SHORT-TERM FELLOWSHIP 6 MONTHS A short-term Fellowship is available for 6 months starting tentatively May 2020 in the Laboratory of Molecular Virology of the ICGEB Trieste. The Fellowship is on the external Grant of Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia (Programme INTERREG ItaliaSlovenia 2014-2020) for the Project “IMBI: Diagnosi di infezioni prostetiche in ortopedia con metodi innovative basati sull’uso di batteriofagi”.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated graduate student with the equivalent of a Master’s Degree (Laurea Magistrale) in Life Sciences, and with a strong interest in molecular virology. ready to start working immediately. The candidate will be involved in assisting senior researchers in WP3.2 activities – development of methods to detect bacteriophages - by engineering both a colorcoded and a barcoded reporter system.
