Who You are:

Site Reliability Engineer focuses on health of our production environment. You will be proactive in developing tools to monitor they system at all levels, anticipate issues and implement solutions before they impact users. You will need to take ownership during production outages, issues, slowness, errors and failures.

What you will do:

Identify components of the applications susceptible to performance and scalability issues.
Develop scripts, metrics and alerts to administer health of the systems.
Act on incidents when it occurs, investigate and fix issues in production systems
Maintain record of system incidents, provide data driven analysis to identify patterns and offer recommendation for preventive measures

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum of 4 to 7 years’ experience in hands-on production administration of large
system environment
Experience in establishing, following, and improving upon procedures within a mission critical environment
Must be efficient in writing scripts using perl and python
Must be extremely comfortable using and navigating within a Linux environment
Musts have the ability to do high level debugging and problem analysis by examining logs and running Unix commands
2+ years’ Experience with github,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable operating in fast paced environment
Understands how DNS/DHCP works
2+years or more experience in virtualization environments such as AWS / Softlayer /Zen /VMWARE
2+ years’ Experience with configuration management systems (SALT/Ansible / Chef)
2+year’sExperience using splunk and or ELK

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Proven experience in driving the stability of cloud platforms
Monitoring experience such as Zabbix or Nagios
JIRA Experience
