Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Software Asset Management Analyst, you are responsible for maintaining SW contract scope in Asset management tools and update missing ownership information by contacting DPE and close SW Instances Without defined contract scope alerts.
Responsibilities
- Obtain necessary approvals from management regarding software procurement on time to make appropriate changes in SW tools and archive the approval artifacts in databases to ensure service health and audit readiness.
- Ensure complete software details are stored in Software contract manager tool (SWCM) or relevant tools within 30 days of the PO release.
- Ensure correct software asset management data is available to reconcile and resolve complex problems regarding SW detection and reconciliation.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 4+ years of experience on Software Asset Management service lines.
- Ability to understand IBM software licensing model to validate and initiate procurement for missing entitlements and close alerts received in ticketing tool
- Proficient to keep track of all deployed software that will be expiring soon and obtain necessary approvals to initiate SW renewals on time.
- Expertise to ensure all software assets that are deployed are with appropriate licenses and used as per IBM global software asset management policies and guidelines.
- Experienced to address compliance issues and exceptions through internal compliance management processes
- Solid understanding to generate reports on SW usage, SW renewals, SW licenses etc and circulate to management
