iOS Engineer

Vrbo is an Expedia Company in the vacation rental business with a passion for building world-class software and digital experiences. We are looking for an empathetic, experienced problem solver to join our mobile team co-located in Gurgaon, India.

Vrbo Mobile offers a suite of traveler and partner apps. The traveler apps help travelers plan, book and enjoy their dream vacation while the partner apps enable partners to seamlessly manage their vacation rental business. You will play a vital role in improving our Traveler apps.

What You’ll Do

Play a critical role in ensuring modular and scalable design and architecture of iOS Apps
Develop new features to iOS Apps - providing value to travelers and increase average usage
Optimize apps for performance and usability
Ensure that visual design is meticulously up to spec and unique iOS capabilities are leveraged for a truly native experience
Collaborate with back end developers, designers, product owners to constantly improve customer experience within iOS platform

Who You Are

You’ll fit this role if you have:

8+ years of experience as a mobile applications developer
At least 4+ years of this experience developing large scale iOS applications
Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
Knowledge of iOS frameworks – Cocoa, XCode
Experience developing on other mobile platforms – e.g Android will be a big plus
Experience developing backend services – RESTful APIs, GraphQL will be a big plus
Experience working with A/B testing will be a plus
Ability to collaborate and drive results cross-team, in a complex working environment
Experience working in a cross-functional Agile team
