·Review program specifications, design and write the necessary program logic to perform the required functions and to produce a program that is reliable and maintainable.
·Test the program to validate the logic and to ensure that all functions identified in the specifications are included in the program and operate correctly.
·Participate in program walk-throughs to critique the logic design and point out design enhancements.
·Produce the necessary documentation for information systems operations and functional users.
·Develop test files, job procedures, back-up and recovery methods, program fixes, and one-time programs.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
·Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field; or 4 years applications programming experience with a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
·2 years of experience with Unidata.
·2 years of experience using Pick Basic programming.
·Ability to understand the purpose of code by stepping through it.
·Understanding of object oriented programming methodologies.
·Willingness to adhere to defined programming standards.
·Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
