JOB SUMMARY:

Acts as a resource in the development andmodifications of application programs. Supports existing Unidata applications.Programs, tests, debugs and documents those programs.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Reviewprogram specifications, design and write the necessary program logic to performthe required functions and to produce a program that is reliable andmaintainable.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Testthe program to validate the logic and to ensure that all functions identifiedin the specifications are included in the program and operate correctly.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Participatein program walk-throughs to critique the logic design and point out designenhancements.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Producethe necessary documentation for information systems operations and functionalusers.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Developtest files, job procedures, back-up and recovery methods, program fixes, andone-time programs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Bachelor’sdegree in engineering, computer science or related field; or 4 yearsapplications programming experience with a minimum of a High School diploma orGED.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;2years of experience with Unidata.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;2years of experience using Pick Basic programming.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Abilityto understand the purpose of code by stepping through it.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Understandingof object oriented programming methodologies.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Willingnessto adhere to definedprogrammingstandards.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Proficientcomputer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
