Applications are invited for the temporary post of Software Developer, for the project titled “ICSR Overhead” in the Centre for ICSR, IIT Madras

Duration: Initially for one year, later extendable based on performance.

Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate / B.E / B. TECH / MCA / M. SC - (Com. Sci.).

Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Software Development.

Job Description:

Responsible for developing new applications for the MVC Platform (ASP.NET MVC) and developing new functionality on our existing software.
Understand the process flow of various functions/requirements and develop/delivered required applications for the functional needs.

Key Skills:

Full stack software developer with strong hands-on experience in. NET. Framework, C#, ASP .NET, ADO.NET, MVC frameworks.
Should have completed more than one project end-to-end under software development on ASP.NET. MVC| ASP.NET Core MVC.
Proficient knowledge of MSSQL and JavaScript.
Experience with database design and implementation.

Knowledge of SDLC Concept and process flow.
Working knowledge of GitHub and Dev Ops.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Prior experience in developing and handling accounting software and knowledge in the financial domain is a plus.

Pay Range: Rs.30,000 to 40,000/-pm based on experience

It all began in 1956, when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Prime Minister of India, was on an official visit to West Germany and was offered assistance by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, to set up a higher technological institute in India. This resulted in the signing of the first Indo-German Agreement in Bonn in 1959, for the establishment of an Indian Institute of Technology at Madras.

The first Indo-German Agreement provided for the services of German professors and five foremen, training facilities for 20 Indian faculty members, and the supply of scientific and technical equipment for the establishment of the Central Workshop and 20 laboratories at IIT Madras.
In 1959, the Institute was formally inaugurated by Prof. Humayun Kabir, Union Minister for Scientific and Cultural Affairs. Dr. A. Lakshmanaswamy assumed office as the first Chairman of the Board of Governors and Dr. B.Sengupto as the first Director of the Institute. In 1961, the Institute has declared an 'Institute of National Importance by the Parliament of India.
