Job Description

Toyota Connected is looking for a Backend Developer who will architect, design, develop and participate in testing and documentation of large-scale, distributed software applications, systems and services.  We are looking for team members who would play significant role in building containerized microservices using Spring Boot orchestrated by K8s or Cloud managed services. Working knowledge of Big data technologies is an added advantage; Take ownership and responsibility of new projects, participate and contribute to constantly improve best practices; Be ready to wear multiple hats to get things done in a highly energized, fast-paced, innovative and collaborative startup environment.

You Are a Successful Candidate If You Have

At least 4 years of strong working experience in Java (Spring boot experience is a plus).

Public cloud technology (AWS, or equivalent) experience in production environments

Good hands on development experience in various AWS Services (Lambda, Beanstalk, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, S3, API Gateway, RDS and Dynamo DB (EKS will be nice to have)) - 3+ years
Microservices development experience with containerization (Dockers) and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS).
Understanding of CI/CD (git) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
Willingness to learn new programming languages to meet goals and objectives.
Nice to have: Working knowledge of big data technologies like (E.g PySpark, Hadoop)
