Position: Software Engineer II – Full Stack (React.Js/Redux)

Location: Pune / Bangalore, India

The Software Engineer II will report to the Director, CSPM Engineering. Zscaler is looking for Software Engineer II who possesses a balance of technical proficiency, business knowledge, with strong communication skills. The Software engineer will work closely with customers to understand their technology and business needs, and then design scalable, highly-available, and resilient cloud solutions based on these business needs. The engineer will work closely with other team members to implement these solutions for customers, this may include other Senior Cloud DevOps Engineers, DevOps Architects, and Security Architects as needed for customer solution implementation of Cloud services and solutions.

Responsibilities/What You’ll Do

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js & Redux
• Building Cross-browser UI (Responsive) support for multiple Browsers, Tablets, and Phones
• Performance optimizations – Every page should load within one (1) second.
• Caching and state management using Redux and other libraries.
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Develop technical designs for yourself and others as required
• Author programming tasks for a user story or complete feature set
• Break down epics spanning multiple code modules into self-contained user stories
• Discover and share lessons learned and best practices
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  

Qualifications/Your Background

• Technical degree (Computer Science or Math) or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience building complex web applications
• Solid work experience using component-based development on the client-side
• Has over 4+ years of experience in IT and 2+ experience with Front End development using React.js and Redux, develop in React JS, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5, ASP.net MVC (Web API),and CSS3
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers; awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
• Should have a good understanding of database concepts
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Working on Cloud[AWS/Azure] based environment is a huge plus
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git, VSTS)
