Main Purpose of Role:

Software Developers are involved in all phases of a project including planning, development, testing and ongoing support.

Duties and responsibilities:

Under minimum or no supervision, performs any of the following tasks:
Develops detailed program designs
Develops technical specifications
Establish programming time schedules
Develops system test plans and evaluates results
Prepares and evaluates program level and job level documentation
Performs and oversees implementation and turnover
Reports task status
Meets deliverables
Ensures adherence to all applicable standards
Under moderate supervision and coaching, begin to apply and learn how to:
Work with business users to identify, analyze, and define business problems and opportunities
Prepare time and resource

Qualifications:

BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
Solid development experience in a commercial/enterprise level IT environment.
Strong application focused development skills with experience developing enterprise level applications from concept to delivery.
Excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
Effective communicator at all levels, excellent inter-personal skills, strong business focus.
Highly self-motivated and confident to work on projects alone as well as in a team.
An enthusiastic approach to extending knowledge and learning new skills.
Strong commitment to quality of work and a good attention to detail.
Comfortable working in Linux, UNIX, Windows environments
Must be experienced with product/project life-cycle methodologies in a Unix/Linux server environment.

Technical Requirements:

Programming Languages and Skills – Core Java, SQL.
Hands-on experience with building Microservices using Spring Boot.
Experience with AWS development standard methodologies.
Experience developing apps which use Cloud data stores – S3, Dynamo DB and/or Amazon RDS.
Experience with developing Java REST services – Spring, Jersey.
Experience with test automation and test driven development practices and frameworks – mutation testing, functional testing (NodeJS, Jasmine, JUnit, Cucumber),mock frameworks (Mockito, etc.),contract testing.
Familiarity with DevOps concepts, tools and continuous delivery pipelines – Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, Jira, GIT, etc.
Experience with API management platforms, design standards, and patterns is a preferred.
Knowledge of front-end technologies like Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, TypeScript, ES6
Working knowledge of elastic search is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Strong team player who is able to work well among and across other teams.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of project management methodologies is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Demonstrable strong problem solving and analytical skills
