Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM India Systems Development Lab is looking for Software Engineer / Developer to be integral part of a team responsible for Product Development of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform on Power.
The product is an advanced container orchestration platform built using Kubernetes.
In addition, there is an opportunity to work on several OpenSource communities and Cloud Native technologies.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 1-3 years of IT experience.
• Proven experience with Linux operating system, at least as a power user
• Up to 3 years of hands-on experience writing code either in GoLang, C/C++ or Python
• Hands-on experience with Git/Github/Gitlab
• Experience with writing test cases (unit/functional/integration etc)
• Good understanding and hands on with Kubernetes and Containers; OpenShift Container Platform experience is a plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including performing root cause analysis
• Ability to work under minimal supervision on complex issues to deliver great results on schedule
• Ability to work equally well as both an individual contributor and a team member
• Any experience with public cloud service is a plus - IBM Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS),Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Hands-on experience on OpenShift Container Platform, Kubernetes and GoLang mastery

Established in 1996, the Lab is headquartered in India's Silicon Valley and startup hub - Bengaluru, with a strong presence in Pune and Hyderabad.
