The charter for the Global Back Office Solutions team is to deliver on the goal of Everyday Low Cost (EDLC) by driving efficiency in all the back office processes, through technology. Combining Technologists with Business Analysts and data experts, we build and deploy solutions that support billions of transactions every month

Role Description

The role is of a Java Developer who is motivated to actively contribute to the design and development of new features. The role is expected to contribute and support in delivering technical solutions for various problems.

Your Responsibility

• Involvement in the development and documentation of product features
• Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Be involved in the successful implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with the Tech Leads/Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) within the established architectural guidelines.
• Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science
• 1+ years of experience in design and development of highly -scalable applications and platform development in product based companies or R&D divisions.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
• 1+ years of hands-On experience in web technologies like React JS, Redux, Java script, HTML/CSS
• Knowledge using these technologies - NodeJs
• Knowledge on Restful web services
• Knowledge on any unit testing
• Working knowledge of SQL database technologies
• Knowledge on cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure would be a plus
• Knowledge on CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps would be a plus
• Awareness of Agile (Scrum) methodologies would be a plus
• Hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
• Excellent debugging and problem solving capability
• Good communication and interpersonal
• Motivated team player who goes over and above what is asked
• Attitude to thrive in a fun, fast-paced start-up like environment
