Job Description

What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed:

• 3 - 5 years of experience developing enterprise software solutions on the Linux platforms
• Mastered the fundamentals of programming and/or debugging skills in Programming languages (C,C++ and or Java)
• Excellent debugging skills in C, C++
• Experience with OOP and multi-threaded application development
• Expertise in Linux internals, Commands, Shell programming required
• Must have strong system level ( socket programming, multi-threading etc.) programming knowledge on Linux platforms
• Virtualization knowledge: Dockers and containers
• Knowledge of container, virtualization technologies
• Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns
• Proficient in API fundamentals and best practices
• Experience working with Cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS is a plus
• Strong development experience with RESTful APIs, Object oriented design and multi-threaded application development, service-oriented architecture
• Proven experience leading development of distributed, fault tolerant, highly available systems, networking and storage systems
• Experience of working in an Agile Development environment
• Lead or participate in a scrum team to continuously improve
• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Highly self-motivated, goal orientated, and self-directed
• Possess a strong aptitude exploring new technologies and understanding how to apply them to new product releases and in customer facing support scenarios
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Communicate and collaborate among cross-functional teams in a multinational environment
• Leadership skills to include coaching/mentoring, critical thinking, facilitation, change leadership, and team development
• Identify and drive innovation in Veritas products, services, solutions, technologies, and processes
  

Good to Have

• Experience in the backup or storage management domains a plus
• Strong preference for experience and/or familiarity with Cloud Native Application, Microservices, Storage and Kubernetes/Containers
  

Education Qualification

• Graduate or Post graduate in engineering. Computer science background (formal education) is a must
