As a Software Engineering Manager (SEM),you are responsible for a lead role in research, design, development and testing of our asset performance monitoring (software) solutions. You will be responsible for supervising a team of 10+. You will directly report to the Founder/CTO.
Areas of Responsibilities:1. Functional Leadership
Prior experience or faster learner of our domain - industrial plant operations, equipment condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and asset performance. As a SEM, you are expected to quickly learn our products and our vision and contribute in the areas of research and development of new solutions.
2. Technical LeadershipYou are expected to play an architect role to design new solutions under the guidance of the CTO. Exceptional ability to design user interface, and high performance solutions using advanced object oriented concepts. Experience in UML, J2EE, data analytics, and various open source frameworks.
3. Project/Team Leadership Efficiency and productivity are our core operating principles. You are expected to lead by example for efficient planning, execution and delivery of high quality products in a timely manner. You are expected to define detailed release plans and track the progress.
4. Quality Assurance Asset Sense believes in releasing solutions with exceptional quality and user experience. You are expected to ensure high quality during the development as well as working with our QA team.
Qualifications/Requirements:10+ years of experience in software product development5+ years of experience in team leadership 5+ years of experience in product design and architecture Strong foundations in Computer Science, and OOP/OOD
Education in Computer Science related field (B.Tech).
Exceptional problem-solver, a creative thinker
Experience in complex systems and SOA (REST, Web Services)Experience in MVC and user interface design
Experience in interactive UI development frameworks, preferably HMTL5 and Mobile Experience in data analytics frameworks and data visualization
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
Experience in team building and motivation
