Introduction

Work collaboratively with others in BIA to develop strong independent client relationships, and to be a respected voice. Responsible for delivery of audits/assignments to a high standard in line with BIA audit methodology and to support delivery of the BIA Audit Plan.
The successful candidate will work with BIA Technology and business teams within and outside of India to understand how they manage technology and information risks inherent within the processes they operate.
As an AVP, the expectation is to be able to conduct process walkthroughs independently, be able to identify key risks and confirm where key controls either exist or are missing, perform audit testing (using data analytics preferably),and collect evidence to demonstrate that these are working effectively.
As an AVP, the expectation is to be able write control descriptions, test results and draft issues concisely and any gaps identified need to be checked with stakeholders for factual accuracy.

What will you be doing?

Support the Vice President and Audit Owners in scoping the audit where necessary.
Identify, assess & document risks and controls.
Complete assessments of controls including use of data analytics to provide deep insights.
Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls and document this understanding in the BIA audit toolkit.
Update the Vice President / Audit Owners, and audit team with progress and observations.
Write high quality audit observations and support the Audit Owner in writing the report.
Provide suggestions to management for actions to address control issues identified.
Support and at times perform continuous monitoring of relevant areas assigned.
Support the follow-up and assessment of the resolution of audit issues.
Provide complete, accurate and timely information for BIA reporting.
Proactively take on additional tasks as requested by Vice Presidents/Directors/Managing Directors.
Suggest practical ways of improving the work they do and apply where appropriate.

What Were Looking For

Good level of understanding over how information systems and technology work.
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CISM).
Proven track record of high performance and effective team worker in previous roles.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

Knowledge of Programming language such as Java and C++.
Experience or knowledge of performing data analytics using Python and SQL.
Financial services industry knowledge and at a product or functional areas as relevant.
