Should have 6-7years of experience inDB2 DBA on z/OSwith good working knowledge of DB2 on z/OS

Strong working knowledge of themainframe environment.

Administration, design, implementation and support highly available and scalable Mainframe DB2
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.

Hands on experience on DB2 V11 and above.

Manages DB2 table changes to support application design and development changes.
Should have experience in DB2 database regular housekeeping activities.
Responsible for application database backups, reorgs, data migration between environments.
DB2 REORG and RUNSTATS procedures.

Troubleshooting DB2 SQL errors and abends in production and lower environments.
Monitor databases regularly to check for any errors such as existing locks and failed updates.
Assist in implementation of new features and program fixes in databases.
Monitor database performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
Should be able to Refresh the data and well versed with DB2 online and Offline utilities.
Knowledge on Package, Plan bind LISTDEF and TEMPLATE.
Worked on providing various levels of access authority to users.
Working knowledge on various DB tools like BMC Admin Tool, Change Manager, Apptune, DataStudio
