Responsibilities:

• 6+ years of hands-on full development lifecycle experience from inception through implementation
• Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments
• Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications, identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues, and review and provide feedback to any required final user documentation
• Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale applications in a mission-critical production environment
• Comprehensive understanding of software architecture, object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
• Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  

Required Skills:

• Core Java language development
• J2EE development including application servers like Tomcat / Weblogic and corresponding web server, IDEs like Eclipse, server-side application development
• Development frameworks like Spring and ORM concepts with specific work on Hibernate or iBatis
• Database programming using SQL on Oracle 9i / Oracle 10g
• XML & Web Services
• Build tools like ANT / MAVEN and Experience with source control tools like SVN / CVS/ PVCS
• Systems Analysis - Ability to read and comprehend business and functional requirements to develop detailed design documents
• UML for design documentation like class and sequence diagrams
• Implementing code quality tools like SONAR, Checkstyle, PMD etc
• Unit Testing Framework
  
  

Experience with any of the following skills will be an added advantage:

• Prior exposure to Agile development lifecycle will be a big advantage
• Sun Certification (SCJP, SCJD) will be an advantage
• Mule ESB is preferable
• Experience on Linux environment
• Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline\\
• Good communication and people skills
• English speaking and writing skills
