Job Role Summary

The software packaging advisor will be part of the Software Asset Management(SAM) group based out of Bangalore, India and will primarily provide technical consultation and support associated with software packaging and related technologies. Looking for candidates with 4-6 years of relevant experience in software packaging and scripting. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills while interacting with global vendors and customers along with a strong problem solving attitude.

Primary Job Functions -

• Act as an escalation point for Application packaging support and troubleshooting. Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Candidate should be open for handling different assignments and roles which might not be directly related to packaging such as lead process improvement initiatives, lean ideas and others
• Develop new documentation, participate in development of departmental technical procedures and design user support guides
• Consult with management and recommend for process and procedure improvements
  

Job Role Requirements

• Should have a bachelor’s degree (BCA/B.TECH/B.E/B.Sc) from a reputed University
• Must have hands on experience in working with AdminStudio and other industry platforms for application packaging, remediation, troubleshooting etc..,
• Proficient in packaging and testing applications for Windows 7, 8 and Windows 10 OS platforms.
• Experience on Linux/MAC/APPX environment is a plus. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows platforms desired
• Must have advanced experience of Windows Installer (MSI) technology. Experience using Install shield AdminStudio 2014 or newer
• Excellent scripting knowledge in Visual Basics Script (VBS),PowerShell, Batch Script, Angular JavaScript, JavaScript/JQuery. Any prior experience with HTML/Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) will be a plus
• Good knowledge on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) platform, should have hands on experience on monitoring application deployment status, troubleshoot and fix deployment related issues, understand System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) discovery mechanism and extract reports from the tool. Proficient with the application model of deployment
  

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA’s)

• Demonstrated working experience in client/vendor stakeholder forum or any prior experience with transition projects is a plus
• Possess excellent communication skills and has any prior leadership experience such as Scrum Master, Technical Lead etc..,
