Sourcing Manager recruitment in Pune - prodair air products india pvt ltd

This position is responsible for strategic sourcing activities for industrial gases plant capital equipment in India for India & Global projects.  The incumbent is charged with developing, negotiating, implementing and maintaining competitively advantageous supply strategies for all rotating equipment as the local sourcing functional expert.

The principal accountabilities of this position are

·        Responsible for rotating equipment sourcing strategies in India by developing, negotiating, implementing, and sustaining supply strategies consistent with business/product line requirements.

·        Developing and leading sourcing campaigns in India as well as supporting global sourcing campaigns as required.

·        The incumbent interfaces both locally and with overseas cross functions organization, primarily with global category sourcing, global engineering, India procurement center and manufacturing organizations, in support of new plant capital project bids and execution.

·        The incumbent will be required to have intimate knowledge of India supply markets and be able to provide leadership in developing and/or enhancing existing supply base, supporting new sourcing initiatives such as localization and low-cost country sourcing for global projects

·        Lead cross-functional teams involved in supplier discovery and development work to meet project and business needs to strengthen competitive advantage for the organization.

·        Develop an engagement plan and manage the vendor relationship in India. Understand safety, commercial and capacity risks.

·        Work closely with supported businesses and functional organizations to ensure stability and cost effectiveness of all rotating equipment supply.

·        Manage supplier performance and maintain interface within supplier’s organization.

·        Lead contract management activities, including claims management and vendor issue resolution.
