SPECIALIST COMMODITY MANAGEMENT

Purpose of Role

This role will join the Hasbro India Sourcing Operation Team (HISO). Hasbro has ambitious plans to grow their sourcing of Toys & Games from Indian factories.
The incumbent will join the Hasbro India Sourcing Operation Team (HISO). Hasbro has ambitions plans to grow their sourcing of Toys & Games from Indian factories. Key to the success is the localization of toy grade materials and component, which are currently mainly sourced from Chinese suppliers.
The job holder will be accountable for:
Manage the Commodity as assigned:
Help to develop the Commodity Strategy and also execute implement the key actions from the Commodity Strategy.
Manage and take lead in Negotiation and finalizing all the commercial terms for the Commodity assigned.
Manage the business relationship with the Suppliers being assigned.
Manage and monitor the Supplier Performance.

Lead the Commodity Buy &Sell related activities and process as well as familiarize with the systems (eConnect and SAP) and continuously to find ways to optimize it.

Working closely with the Senior Manager, Commodity Management to manage and maintain the Hasbro Approved Supplier List (HASL).

Will be responsible for tracking the global & local trends in the commodities assigned which Hasbro use and ensuring an up to date database is developed and maintained tracking these costs.

Key Responsibilities

- Hands-on management to make sure that the Commodity Management key deliverables are met. (40%)
- Build a good relationship with the Materials suppliers as well as the FG Vendors to ensure good co-operations and resolve any conflict arises, if any. (30%)
- Continue to review the current way of working and identify areas of improvement to eliminate waste and drive efficiency. (20%)
- Able to report the performance of the Commodities assigned and project given and provide timely updates in highlighting key issues of concerns and also areas of supports needed. (10%)

Years Of Experience Required

- 5 years’ experience with minimum 2 years in Purchasing/Procurement in a manufacturing industry.

Technical Skills Requirement

- University graduate in Business Administration, Industrial Management, (with Major/knowledge on Mechanical/ Chemical or Electronic or Packaging will be preferred).
- Good knowledge on the cost drivers in manufacturing processes (plastic injection, sewing, decoration, product assembly, pack-out) and key commodities such as resin, packaging & printing, fabric and electronic components will be a strong plus.
- Knowledge and Experience in SAP will be a definite advantage.
- Fluent in English written and spoken, and Hindi in oral with Good Communication Skills.
