Job Description
- Your main mission will be within the Process Automation and Delivery group.
- As a SysOps Engineer and Product Owner you will be responsible for reinforcing the project team with the contribution of your competence and expertise in the design; development; testing and deployment of industrial software and automation in a multi-product environment.
- You will work in an international and multicultural team. Proficiency in English is essential.
- You will bring an ample degree of industry knowledge to your position; which will help you in implementing a systems operations methodology maximized to the needs of the group.
- As an experienced engineer; you will also participate in the monitoring of the validation and the quality of the system developed by one or several suppliers.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
- Expert on System operations and Infrastructure Development.
- Candidate should able to do IT system platform installation; configuration and verification
- Work closely with development; product development; and operations departments to ensure quality and timely services are delivered.
- Support project teams with technical explorations that are needed to develop an understanding of prospective solutions which will extend and provide future business functionalities
Essential Job Functions
- Technical Exploration analysis; alternative evaluations
- Coordination with product owners; Tech leads for needs understanding
- Implementation and testing of system platforms needed for the project deliverables
- Documentation of technical and platform and network aspects of the explored solution
Education
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Degree level or industry experience equivalency
Courses related to the area of responsibility and project management.
Experience
10+ yearsâ experience as System Administrator/System Engineer with strong knowledge on windows and virtualization technologies.
Technical Skills / Competencies
- Hands-on position as a System Administrator; System engineer.
- Expertise on supporting for Windows Server 2008; 2012; 2019 and XP; Windows 7; etc. to perform configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience in Hardware RAID 5; 6; 10 and Software RAID.
- Strong experience in OS; Networking and hardware servers.
- Knowledge on VMWare ESIX 5;6
- To design; install; and administer virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V) products.
- Regular support of VMware and windows environment by resolving the escalated tickets for the internal and external customer.
- Identify and implement the rectified operational issues.
- Candidates with MCSA and RHCE are preferred.
- Ability to work with different teams internally and with different teams regionally
- Provide system administration; configuration; setup and troubleshoot on multi-flavor operating system.
- Day-to-day monitoring and health checks; checking of system performance and managed servers (VMs; Windows).
- Capacity planning (HDD; Memory; CPU; RAID servers; network bandwidth) and define high performance computing architecture.
- Provide training to users including technicians on production support.
- Perform periodically maintenance of servers and patching in production environment.
- Automate on operation processes where possible.
- Documentation on procedures.
