Specialist (Procurement Expert) / 01 Position

Essential Qualification: Graduate in Civil Engineering/Post Graduate in any Engineering from any recognized Institution / University.

Essential Experience: Minimum five years (05) for Graduate and three (03) years of experience for Post Graduate in Central Government / State Government in managing procurement of various services / works / Goods Contracts in the infrastructure sector/ Support Services;  Experience of Public Sector undertaking shall not be considered.

Knowledge / understanding of the National / International practices & procedures for procurement including Contract Formulation and Management; Familiarity with the procurement procedures in State and Central Government;

Ability to understood technical drawings and sketches; and Proficiency in use of Computers. Additional

Desirable Criteria: Post-Graduation in relevant field; Ten (10) years’ experience in infrastructure projects; Familiarity with the procurement procedures of Multilateral and Bilateral funding agencies such as World Bank, ADB, JICA, etc; and Experience in Waterway, Irrigation, Flood Protection, Cross River Structures such as Dams & Barrages, Ports or similar projects.

Age Limit : Maximum 65 years as on closing date of receipt of application. (However for deserving candidate age relaxation may be considered depending on the health and experience).

Remuneration : Rs. 85000/- (Rupees Eighty Five Thousand only) per month.

The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) came into existence on 27th October 1986 for development and regulation of inland waterways for shipping and navigation. The Authority primarily undertakes projects for development and maintenance of IWT infrastructure on national waterways through grant received from Ministry of Shipping. The head office of the Authority is at Noida. The Authority also has its regional offices at Patna, Kolkata, Guwahati and Kochi and sub-offices at Allahabad, Varanasi, Bhaglapur, Farakka and Kollam.
