Job Overview

As a Sr. Associate, you will lead our effort to develop testing tools and frameworks in SQL, and own database testing and quality assurance. You will act as a data domain specialist. You will closely collaborate with data engineers, database developers and product teams to ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability of data in our reference and master data hubs. You will mostly work on MS SQL Server 2014.

Responsibilities

• Understand the reference and master data, data architecture, data methodology and processes, and a broad range of applications that collect and consume data
• Develop tools and frameworks that facilitate large-scale automated data testing and exception reporting
• Own development of certain logics and methodology in our data pipeline
• Define and execute data testing strategy for each project and ensure optimal test coverage on all possible scenarios
• Analyze test results and drive resolution of issues
• Develop metrics and solutions to assess, monitor and improve data quality
• Institutionalize best practices in data governance and related knowledge management
• Contribute to defining data architecture and processes, enhancing algorithms and making our data-related processes more efficient
• Provide expertise and leadership on making technical decisions, hiring and mentoring junior team members, and achieving excellence in project management and delivery discipline

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters preferably in Computer/IT Engineering/Information Science or an MCA
• 6-8 years of experience in development using T-SQL or PL/SQL and in testing data on a large scale
• Demonstrated ability to use analytical functions and methods to gain insights and identify relationships, patterns and integrity issues in large multi-dimensional data sets
• Good understanding of functional and regression testing in the context of database testing
• Meticulous attention to detail, ability to transform data into actionable insights, identify patterns, trends, relationships and clusters in the data
• Proven track record of excellence in project management
• Strong people and team management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with global business and technical teams
• Self-starter and quick-learner
• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment independently with little or no supervision
