Name of project: Sustainable management Of NTFPs through conservation and value addition. (AICRP)

Essential Qualification: First Class Post Graduate degree in Forestry/ Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Plant Physiology/ Agronomy/ Master Of social works and 2 years research experience in standardization of nursery techniques/ agro-techniques ot'medicinal plants and field works OR Ph.D degree in the relevant subject

Salary: Rs. 23,000. PM fixed without HRA

Age Limit:32 years

Name of project: Estilnation of Economic losses in real term on per Hectare basis due to Forest Fire in Uttarakhand and Madhya 

Essential Qualification: Graduate in Science With Botany as one of the subject or BSc. Forestry/ B.Sc. Agriculture.

Salary: Rs. 19,000. PM fixed without HRA

Junior project Fellow /10

Name of project: Estimation Of Economic losses in real term on per Hectare basis due to Forest Fire in Uttarakhand and Madhya

Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in Botany/ Forestry Environment Management.

Desirable Qualification : a. Experience in collection of plant and soil samples and willing to go for field visit and working. b. Basic knowledge of computer.

Salary: Rs. 20,000. PM fixed without HRA

About Company

The Government of Mysore had set up a Forest Research Laboratory (FRL) at Bangalore in 1938. In the initial years, work was carried out mainly on properties and uses of different timber species, essential oils, other non-wood forest products and protection of wood and trees from pests and diseases. In 1956, this laboratory was organised as a regional centre of Forest Research Institute and Colleges, Dehra Dun. In 1977, Sandal Research Centre was set up to undertake research on wide-ranging aspects of genetics, silviculture and management of sandal, a valuable tree well distributed all over Southern India.
