Job Description

Sr. Marine Engineer (Dy.HoD) in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Department of Visakhapatnam

Scale of pay : Rs.80000-220000

Educational Qualification: i) MOT 15 Class Motor certilicate issued under Merchant shipping Act 1958. ii) Four years experience as Chief Engineer Or 5 years combined experience as Chief Engineer and Engineer on board a foreign going ship.

Method of recruitment (Whether by direct recruitment or by promotion/ absorption: promotion or by absorption through composite method failing which by deputation from other Govemmen organizatio ns and failing both by direct recruitment.

In case of promotion/ absorption/deputation , grades from which it should be made: Promotion from the post of Marine Engineer in the scale of pay of Rs.14500-18700 (revised scale of pay of Rs.29100. 54500) with Four regular years service in 'the grade absorption through Composite method will be of Officers holding analogous posts or officers with 4 years regular service in the post of Marine Engineer.

Scale of Pay: 16000 - 20800 (revised scale of pay 32900- 58000).

Age Limit:44 Years.
