Job title: Sr. Packaging Scientist-I
Location: Kailash R&D Lab, Mumbai
Department: ITQ (Baking & Atta)

Job Profile

Lead packaging development for new products/ renovation/ quality systems/ cost savings/Sustainability support for AMEA business.

Key deliverables/responsibilities
  • Lead packaging development for new products from conceptualisation to commercialisation with creation of accurate specifications.
  • Introduce innovative solutions, concepts and processes in packaging to add significant value and efficiencies to the business.
  • Work with business teams to proactively identify opportunities to improvise on existing portfolio.
  • Partnering closely with brand teams to build insights for packaging application.
  • Ensure development of prototype/representative samples.
  • Working closely with cross functional teams to drive speed for deliverables, manage cost and quality.
  • Liaising with quality, procurement and operations in rolling out Packaging Quality related best practices
  • Auditing new/existing suppliers in partnership with quality team
  • Develop and manage technical specifications for new & existing in bound packaging materials. Working closely with GMI factories and External Sourcing units.
  • Providing technical support for new packaging design & artwork and colour approvals through online proofing.
  • Understanding the cost model across the category and bring out packaging cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with sourcing team to induct new packaging suppliers through E auctions and assist to build in strategies for supplier management.
  • Troubleshooting issues at the plant level including Third party manufacturing and work on C&P actions.
  • Handle independently AMEA region for Packaging projects.
