Sr Software Engineer

 Essential Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
  • Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 6-8
  • Make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment
  • Work closely with systems teams in requirements gathering. Translate requirements/ vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards
  • Understand performance parameters and assess, optimizes/improves application performance
  • Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
  • Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Role Summary/Purpose
  • Responsible for designing, developing, reviewing and testing software to create software platform and clinical applications for Anesthesia and Respiratory Care product lines
Qualifications/Requirements
  • B.Tech/M.Tech from Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • 8 -12 years of experience in design and software development.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and use new technology and programming language
  • Effective problem solver: Ability to define the problem, brainstorm alternatives, choose best strategy and implement the solution
  • Experience in object-oriented design methodology and programming languages - C/C++
  • Proficient in developing GUI based applications using QT framework
  • Experience working on Linux/Unix operating system
  • Exposure to automation testing process and tools

  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Experience setting up/ using continuous integration tools like Jenkins
Staff Software Engineer:
  • Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development
  • A minimum of 1 years of hands on experience in software development covering full stack (Core Java, REST, Java/Node, SQL/NoSQL)

Desired Characteristics
  • Experience using tools like Eclipse, Git, Maven/Ant and Bamboo or Jenkins
  • Experience with unit testing using JUnit and mock frameworks.
  • Experience in Agile development practices: Test Driven Development (TDD),Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Scrum.
  • Experience in WebServices using SOAP and RESTful frameworks
  • Creative Problem solver and open to learning new technologies.
  • Experience in Healthcare domain 
  • Enthusiastically follow technology trends, software engineering best practice and technologies while enjoying the challenge of solving complex problems
