Candidates possessing the following qualifications and experience are invited for interview both in online and offline mode for temporary position of 2 (Two) Senior Research Fellow under the NICRA funded project on titled “Impact of climate change in inland fisheries and development of adaptation strategies”.

Essential qualification: M.F. Sc. in Fisheries Resource Management/ Aquaculture/Aquatic Environment Management/ Fish Physiology and Biochemistry / Fish Health Management with 4 years Bachelor’s degree Or M. Sc. Zoology with specialization in fish and fisheries science, with 3 years Bachelor’s degree, 2 years research experience and NET qualified on the date of interview OR Ph.D. in Fisheries Resources Management/ Aquaculture/ Fish Physiology and Biochemistry/ Zoology with Fisheries Specialization.

Desirable qualification/ Experience Hands on training in one or more of the following fields, Aquaculture, Fish biology, Fish physiology, Fisheries Resource Management / Climate. Working knowledge of Computer applications, Data analysis, Handling statistical software’s all with supporting evidences. Good in English language. Knowledge in Bengali. Research experience in Fish biology, Inland fisheries and Aquaculture

Remuneration :Rs. 31,000/- per month and HRA as admissible as per ICAR rules

Age limit :Maximum age limit as on the date of interview is 35 years for men and 40 years for women. Age relaxations for SC/ST/OBC candidates are as per rules.

Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI) celebrated National Fish Farmers Day at Head Quarter, Barrackpore on 10th July, 2015. The celebration began with floral tribute to Late Prof. Hiralal Chowdhury, the architect of 'Blue revolution' in India and the 'Father of induced breeding' technique who achieved the feat of induced breeding of a carp fish in India.
