Job Description
1. Responsible for overall planning of nursing care of patients and for assignment of patients to nurses working in the ward.
2. Rendering direct nursing care to the ill patients & directly assisting the surgeons in major operations.
3. Ensuring that total health needs of patients are met.
4. Provides direct patient care, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff; assesses and treats patient conditions in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team
5. Performs procedures, such as injections and catheterizations
6. Assists with the management of vascular access devices
7. Evaluates patients' compliance to treatment plans and evaluates and reports test results
8. Performs health promotion activities to prevent illness and maintain health
9. Performs nursing support duties, such as assisting with treatments and procedures, in addition to other related duties as assigned
